Hello! Today I would like to share a video I stumbled across. It focuses on Second Life, a virtual adventure where you create your own avatar, world, and socialize with other players. Now that sounds awesome! I personally love virtual games like this. I got hooked on World of Warcraft, and then Warhammer Online. I have my eye out for a new virtual land to explore, and Second Life may be my next choice!

Second Life is a creative, interactive land I would love to visit, and plan to in the near future.

Mingoville is a Virtual World where kids Learn English

When a Virtual World brings active learning to the table, added to a great virtual adventure, I am most happy to check them out. Our minds are always seeking new ways to learn, and I have found through my own experiences that active virtual play enhances our ability to learn many times over conventional learning methods. We are virtual beings, living in a virtual world. We simply thrive on exciting virtual activities designed to encourage us to explore, create, and evolve in ways we can only imagine. In this moment I am excited to bring a glimpse into one such world, called Mingoville. Here is a virtual experience which has a lot of potention for learning, while playing!

Like the Mingoville School you are familiar with, the new Mingoville World is also based on the belief that kids learn better when they have fun and when they decide when and where to learn.

In the Mingoville World, all activities and games are in English. We have developed a whole universe based on fun and exciting educational games and exercises that teach children English while they play online.

At Mingoville, we have been working hard to develop a virtual world where learning English is 100% integrated into all games and exercises. A virtual world allows kids to practice and learn English without even thinking about it. We hope you enjoy it and consider using this new teaching tool in your curriculum.

Good News

Mingoville is free. You have free access to the Mingoville School and the Mingoville World. However, it is also possible to buy extended access to the Mingoville World and become a SuperLearner. As a SuperLearner, the student will have access to more fun educational games and the possibility of buying clothes and other things for his flamingo.

A Virtual look into how Outer Space impacts our Homes and Cities

While visiting the NASA website I found some pretty interesting information about how space exploration may influence and impact our daily lives. While researching ways to make life easier for astronauts, as well as creating innovative and safe environments for their living spaces, researchers have developed some pretty cool consumer and industrial safety products as well. After taking the virtual tour, I was pretty amazed with the advancing technologies that are emerging, and thought I would share with those who may not yet have discovered this. So if you wish to check out these technological advanced innovations, designed and created for safe space travel, take a few moments to visit NASA @ Home and City.

I am not certain how cost effective these newest technologies would be at this point, but it sure is exciting and interesting to learn about these futuristic ideas as they unfold. From Environmental cleansing to insulated paint… have you ever wondered where a lot of modern ideas originated from? You may be surprised to learn that what seems to most people to be just a technologically advanced gadget, is truly space exploration reaching into our homes, and impacting our lives on a daily basis.
